Get answers to common questions about Tuning Forks.
During a session we activate forks near or on the body; you may feel vibrations, warmth, tingling, deep relaxation and occasional emotional release. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes and can be combined with other therapies.
Tuning Forks therapy is noninvasive and generally safe, but not appropriate for everyone. Inform us of pregnancy, pacemakers, recent surgery, or acute injuries so we can adapt or recommend alternatives. A pre-session consultation assesses suitability.
Some clients notice benefits after one session, while chronic issues often require a series. Typical plans range from three to six sessions spaced weekly or biweekly, then maintenance as needed. Your therapist will recommend a tailored schedule.
Most people find the experience gentle and relaxing; sensations include vibration, warmth, or subtle pressure. If you feel discomfort, tell your practitioner and they will adjust placement or technique to keep the session comfortable and safe.
Tuning Forks can support recovery for muscle strains, tendon irritation, and some chronic pain by enhancing circulation and reducing inflammation. They are best used alongside physical therapy or medical care; we will coordinate recommendations with your provider.
Wear comfortable clothing and stay hydrated. Avoid heavy meals beforehand and share medical history, implants, or medications with your therapist. Arrive relaxed and open-minded—aftercare often includes rest, hydration, and noting any emotional or physical responses.
