Get answers to common questions about Senior Wellness Flexibility Session.
Yes. Sessions are tailored to your current abilities; therapists use slow, supported stretches, modifications, and chair-based options to ensure safety. We perform an initial assessment and adjust intensity to avoid strain while improving flexibility and balance.
Sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes, giving time for warm-up, guided stretches, balance exercises, and cool-down. Shorter or longer sessions can be arranged to accommodate individual needs, mobility levels, or caregiver scheduling requests.
If you have chronic conditions, recent surgeries, uncontrolled blood pressure, or severe osteoporosis, we recommend consulting your physician first. For most healthy seniors, no prior approval is necessary, though we complete intake forms and a movement screening on arrival.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow movement and non-slip shoes or socks. Bring water, any assistive devices (cane, walker), and a list of medications or medical concerns. We provide mats and chairs, but feel free to bring a favorite cushion.
Many seniors report decreased stiffness and improved comfort after regular sessions. Gentle, consistent stretching improves circulation, joint mobility, and muscle flexibility, which often lessens chronic aches. Results vary; we recommend a short series to assess tangible improvements.
Yes. Caregivers are welcome to attend, observe, or assist with mobility as appropriate. We provide guidance on safe spotting and transfers, and can incorporate caregiver training to help continue exercises at home, improving consistency and safety.
